EXPERIENCE
Iain McCray Martin is a London-based producer and filmmaker originally from Stonington, Maine.
His commercial production work focuses on both moving image and still photography and has spanned a broad range of commissions with clients including Reebok, Apple, Warner Music, Dior, Prada, Burberry, Alexander McQueen, La Perla, Agent Provocateur, Lancome, Calvin Klein, Arena Homme+, Beauty Papers, i-D Magazine, Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and GQ.
With an emphasis on working with celebrity talent, Iain’s projects have featured Cillian Murphy, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Alison Goldfrapp, Elizabeth Debicki, Madonna, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Lily Collins, Amanda Seyfried, Griff, Orville Peck, Paul McGann, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Mohamed Salah, Bryan Ferry, David Gandy, Shania Twain, Iris Apfel, Karen Elson, Lewis Hamilton, and Ronda Rousey.
Iain directed the feature length documentary Life by Lobster (2009) which takes you inside the lives of five young lobster fishermen determined to pursue this proud traditional vocation against steadily mounting obstacles. Peter Davis (Academy Award Winner for Hearts and Minds) said of the film: “Life by Lobster speaks to the heart -- of its audience, of fishermen, of a way of working that is also a way of living. It makes us see, and think, and feel deeply. you can't ask much more of a movie." Iain is currently producing and directing The First Five, a feature length documentary about Miami’s first five African American police officers who changed the course of history and ultimately united a racially charged community and its police force.
