Stonington, ME - For generations, lobster fishermen have put their lives and well-being in the hands of the Atlantic Ocean. What began as a humble means of survival in a harsh and rugged climate, lobster fishing eventually evolved into a prosperous livelihood.
Now, the industry faces a new set of challenges and an uncertain future.
Set against the stunning backdrop of coastal Maine, Life by Lobster takes you inside the lives of five young lobstermen who have put everything on the line to pursue the Downeast dream: to own a business, raise a family, and stay true to a proud way of life.
Directed by 22-year-old Stonington native, Iain McCray Martin, Life by Lobster is co-produced by J. Miller Tobin (Gossip Girl, Numb3rs, CSI) and Opera House Arts.
